Terms of Use

Last Updated: Dec 10, 2025.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Zerosum ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website located at https://zerosum.ca/ (the "Site") and purchasing our software products, plugins, or utilities (collectively, "Products"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or purchase our Products.

We are located in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

2. Digital Products & Licensing

All software sold on Zerosum is strictly digital. By purchasing a Product, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software.

  • Ownership: You do not own the software; you own a license to use it. Zerosum retains all intellectual property rights.
  • Restrictions: You may not redistribute, resell, lease, license, sub-license, or offer our Products to any third party without our prior written consent. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
  • Updates: We may provide updates to our Products at our discretion. These Terms apply to all updates.

3. Payments & Pricing

  • Currency: All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Billing: Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (e.g., Stripe). We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
  • Taxes: As we are based in Canada, applicable sales taxes (GST/QST/HST) will be calculated at checkout based on your billing address.

4. Refund Policy (Digital Goods)

Due to the nature of digital downloadable products, all sales are final once the software has been downloaded or license keys have been issued.

  • Exceptions: We may offer a refund within 14 days of purchase ONLY if the software is technically defective and our support team cannot resolve the issue. Refund requests based on "change of mind" or "incompatibility due to failure to read requirements" will not be granted.

5. User Accounts

To access your downloads, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including Quebec Consumer Protection laws), Zerosum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our Products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Montreal or Laval, Quebec.
