Zerosum was brought on board to create a compelling, bilingual promotional video that accurately reflects the energetic and multifaceted nature of the establishment. The overarching goal of the project was to craft a narrative that appeals to both early-morning breakfast crowds and late-night partygoers, highlighting the venue’s impressive versatility. By bridging the gap between English and French speaking audiences, the final deliverable needed to resonate with the diverse demographic of Lasalle while showcasing the warm, family-owned atmosphere that defines the brand.

Capturing the complete operational scope of a bustling restaurant presented unique logistical challenges. The venue constantly transitions between varying services, from quiet morning breakfasts to high-energy live music events. Our team at Zerosum approached this partnership with a comprehensive strategy, ensuring we documented every distinct facet of the business without disrupting their daily operations. We collaborated closely with the restaurant management to align our shooting schedules with their peak service times and special events. The production process began with extensive location scouting and several preliminary visits to the Lasalle venue. This allowed our field team to establish clear sightlines, assess the varied lighting conditions, and finalize a shot list that encompassed the busy commercial kitchen, the main bar, the outdoor terrace, and the dining areas. Following the scriptwriting phase, we initiated a casting process that prioritized authenticity. We opted to feature the actual restaurant staff in the majority of the roles, hiring only one external talent to round out the scenes. Filming was strategically scheduled over a span of several weeks to accommodate the venue’s diverse event calendar. This extended shooting window was crucial for capturing genuine b-roll of patrons dancing, live bands performing, and DJs mixing tracks during peak hours.
